Tender Care Grooming

Quick and efficient! My four dogs are well treated by Vanessa and she takes the time to explain to me why or why I shouldn't have them clipped/trimmed, etc! Recently I brought my dog in because he wouldn't stop itching AFTER I gave him flea medicine and Vanessa knew exactly what was wrong with him. Now I know my trip to the vet is necessary!

I gave it a one star cause I couldn't give it a zero. This place may do a good job on some dogs but I have known people very unhappy with their service. They don't seem to do alot of business and maybe it is partly because of the condition of their building. The lady that runs it seems unfriendly to people that are not customers. Hopefully they charge much less than the other salons since the building is very small and is in bad shape. There are great salons in Springfield that are kept well and spacey where animals can feel more comfortable.

The owner is preparing for maternity leave so she has another person working in the shop. My dog was groomed by that person with disastrous results. He was there from when the shop opened until 5:30. That is too long for an old dog to be caged with no water. The haircut was poorly done with one side of his face 1 1/2” longer than the other side. The worst us that he had a toenail cut too closely. It bled for a couple of hours after he came home. I called Vanessa and told her how disappointing the experience was. She apologized and offered to reshape his cut but I declined.

I Have taken my dog there a few times And the job they’ve done in the past was satisfactory. Most recent attempt they told me they couldn’t groom the dog because it would snap at them. My dog is about 10 pounds and if they were worried about it they could’ve easily put a muzzle on her like they did one of the other dogs I saw while i was there. The lady that was supposed to groom my dog was a different lady than the past and said she just can’t do it stresses her out if they act that way. While she was telling me that, she was grooming another dog that was muddled and she said the dog she was working on, was also being a pain and she was about to tell the guy to come get their dog as well. Pay the extra five dollars and go somewhere else where they can get the job done and read the oth

Took my fur baby here not only did the haircut come out completely opposite of what I had asked for, she had cut my baby so bad he was bleeding for hours. They clearly take on too much work load and rush through their grooming. The dogs looked stressed out with children running around screaming. My friend also took their poodle here and got burned so badly with the clippers the hair is not growing back. Will not return here or recommend to anyone.
