Team Gundogs

Ok, to be honest, my husband and I have been trying to hunt pheasants on our own, without a dog, with no luck. As novice hunters, we decided to go to Kiowa with my dad and Dennis was our guide, along with his dogs Sassy and Johna. Under his guidence, my husband and I were finally able to take home pheasants. Dennis was a fantastic guide. He gave us tips as we walked and got us up close to the birds. He showed us where they were then put us in the best position before flushing them; it was an awesome experience, even though we missed a lot. We both learned a lot and both dogs did a great job finding them for us. We cannot wait to go back. I would recommend Dennis for any new or seasoned hunters.

Dennis did an incredible job with me and my 7 month old lab. We did two training sessions a week apart, then I left her for 10 days with Dennis for boarding and training during spring break. The dog I got back was a WONDER! He solved all her issues in 10 days. I'm writing this two weeks after I got my dog back and all the fixes have stuck. AMAZING! Thanks to Dennis for teaching me better than the books I read, and tailored the fixes I needed specifically for my dog. I will definitely be leaving her with Dennis on future vacations. It doesn't cost more than boarding in the city, and you get a trained dog at the end of it. :)

Dennis is the man! He did an amazing job with our Golden Retriever. He was very thorough and patient on teaching me and our Golden. Not only did I love working with Dennis but our Golden Rex loved him as well. I brought him in two different times this year each a month at a time and Rex was so excited to see Dennis. I highly recommend Dennis to anyone looking for a Gun Dog trainer.

Dennis has a true passion for dogs; you can see it right away. We left our chocolate lab, Winston, with Dennis for two separate 4-week sessions. When I hunted with him after the second session I couldn't believe the dog's drive to find birds, with no gun shyness at all. While I don't get to hunt as much as I'd like to, I do work Winston on the e-collar every day in the park. People can't believe how well-trained he is. I've had several dogs over the years, but this is my first bird dog and my first professionally trained dog. Dennis' training makes all the difference in the world. I highly recommend Dennis.

Dennis is an amazing, gentel and caring handler. Insures that the safety of your dog is a top priority. Whether you’re doing day training or boarding training he takes the time to give a report card on how the dog is doing. I opted to do a six-week boarding on-site training program. Dennis took time every week to text me the status on how she was progressing during her coursework and overall health and status. I recently took my dog on her first pheasant hunting trip, you could immediately tell that the training she received from Team Gundogs payed off. Not only was she able to flush birds out, she was also able to retrieve and return the pheasant with a soft bite that did not destroy the bird. I look forward to taking her back to do advanced training once hunting season is complete
