We have been enrolled in Puppy Kindergarten with Heather as our primary instructor. She is passionate about her work, and so patient with the puppies as she carries out her instructions. Extremely knowledgeable with her training exercises with great insight into what makes these dogs tick and how best to manipulate their behavior. My dog and I recently finished Canine Good Citizen and therapy dog training classes with Tail Waggin' Dog Training and I couldn't be more thrilled with the experience. Heather's expertise and patience made each session enjoyable and effective. My dog responded positively to the training methods and I saw noticeable improvement each week. The instruction also helped me to become more in tune with my dog so that I am now better able to read his body language, which sets him up to succeed when in different situations. I have been practicing Veterinary medicine for 39 years. What a pleasure for me to work with dogs who have been trained. This benefits both pet and pet owner. We can perform more thorough exams without a panicked dog. It has always been amazing to me how many dogs need sedation for a simple nail trim and ear cleaning. I can not compliment enough, Heather and her associate Janice, for their outstanding training for our puppy Calvin. He was in both kindergarten and Manners 1. Heather is a great, non-nonsense trainer! She adapts her training to the dog to help you succeed. Her method evokes positive reinforcement and she models the training to help both you and your dog get it! Be ready to work each week if you want success, and I encourage a private lesson or two at home in conjunction with the group classes.

Sometimes it is not only the dog that needs training. Heather has done such an outstanding job with my puppy! As importantly, as a first-time dog owner she has helped me tremendously with tips and tricks to keep us on track. Very highly recommend.
