Sulphur Springs Animal Shelter

We called last week, with our little guy in pain, and no appetite. They got him in quick, tested and treated with all he needed within an hour or so. Great job, and thank you very much!

I’ve not had good experiences dealing with Barbie either. She stated there was nothing that could be done when I asked her about a dog that was being starved out on the “back 40” of a nearby Solar Site. I just find that SO hard to believe, but I reckon Texas is still the Wild, Wild West, where folks just do whatever they like to their animals. I do plan to keep pursuing that, though. 🙂

Very disrespectful and didn’t help me after I found a dog in their town. I never dealt with someone so rude. This isn’t an animal shelter. The lady I spoke with on the phone hung up on me. You should close this place down because you are not helping these animals out here. Unbelievable saying you’re going to put down the dog that was found on the side of the road. There’s a nicer way to talk to someone and your receptionist needs to be fired.

Whatever you do, do not bring your dog here. I was accused of lying and the owner of this shelter does not care for these dogs. She was kicking one of them to get it to stay inside and put the dog I brought in outside in a crate when it was 27 degrees outside. It absolutely broke my heart! Please find another shelter near even if it’s a little out of the way.
