Sturbridge Veterinary Hospital

I was referred to this clinic by my mother and was hopeful after hearing good things. The veterinarians themselves are very kind, patient, and helpful — you can tell they genuinely care about the animals. However, my experience with the front desk has been disappointing. The staff often come across as rude and impatient, which makes the clinic feel unwelcoming. Additionally, I was never informed that medication requests through Vetco can take 6–7 days for approval. It’s been 4 days and my dog’s flea and tick medication still hasn’t been approved. For anyone new to town and looking for a vet, I’m not sure I’d recommend this clinic — mostly due to the front desk experience.

I'm brand new to Sturbridge Veterinary Hospital and very new to kitten partnership. Since our first visit two weeks ago and multiple phone calls since, they have been wonderful, full of advice and had kind answers to all my questions! We have decided we will no longer use this vet service after today, and I will have to agree with the other reviews for why we felt it was time. I have not been happy with them for some time for various reasons but we could no longer justify spending the money when it has reached the point that the staff have made it impossible to be comfortable here.

I have used Sturbridge Veterinary Hospital for years and I have always been thrilled with the care and compassion they show us. When Dr. Mack announced his retirement I cried, but I will continue to bring all of my kids to them. Dr. Kidd is an amazing veterinarian and Dr. Johnson has always been spot on! I rescue senior dogs and its important to have trust in the entire team, know they will be there for you, and do what's best for everyone.

Went for our annual wellness visit and rabies vaccinations. Paxton 8 and Sid 10. We had a new Dr. She was very nice and very gentle…..Thank You Dr. Shannon Gregoire
