Stout Kennels

Please put your dogs in the care of ANYONE ELSE. Owner (Marshelle/Shelly) runs her business out of her own home (which would be fine if she didn't put close to 15 dogs in one room and take them all out at the same time - no "play groups" or anything like that). Tiny cages stacked on top of each other in her living room, a small playpen in her garage... definitely not ideal quarters for your pet to stay! She has only herself listed on her website as a worker, but mentions on her Facebook page that she is physically challenged - clearly not giving her worker(s) the recognition they deserve. It's been a few years, but as far as I know, she only had one "kennel" worker to care for over 10 dogs. All of her Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are show dogs, which would also be fine if she didn't act

Our pups love going to see shel. They get plenty of attention and are let out multiple times a day without an extra charge. She is admimant about current shot records which we appreciate since our dogs got deathly ill from a virus at a local kennel playing with other dogs. Any health concerns she sees it is brought up when leaving. Always appreciate her kindness with the pups

Shelley does a great job with my little dog! She makes sure that she has all the right information before she will kennel. We used her for our Maggie and now she kennels Jasper for us. I can always trust that my dog will be treated well at Stout Kennels.

We have been taking our dogs and cats to Stout Kennels for 15 years now. We have always been happy with the care of our pets while we are away. Our pets love it and there are friends for them to play with.

I would not recommend doing business here. I called to inquire about boarding my two dogs. The price she told me on the phone was more than what she advertised on her business website. When I asked what vaccines were required, (my one dog was a rescue from the dog pound and I don’t know what vaccines he had before I got him) before I could even finish my sentence she said “Why hasn’t he been to the vet? I can’t help you, goodbye” and hung up on me. She assumed I had never taken him to the vet. I asked about required vaccines so I could get him up to date. I called her back immediately and she did not answer. Very rude and unprofessional.
