Sterling Animal Shelter

We’ve had a couple of rough years losing our beloved dog Elsa, 17 and cat Lindsey 18.5 plus a couple of Guinea pigs. So I wanted to wait a couple of years before opening a door for another furry friend. My daughter found Sterling Animal Shelter online and saw a ton of great reviews. After a little hesitation, my husband and I decided to go just “to look “, or as they say, “ window shopping “. While my daughter set her eyes on a black lab mix, my husband went to the last cage where he saw a litter of 4 cutest and fluffiest puppies that arrived literally an hour before we came. Of course, my husband had to pick the largest puppy off the litter. I had to surrender. The whole adopting experience was super easy. All the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and gave us everything we needed

This vet clinic is Wonderful....small and mighty! Their staff is compassionate, kind, caring, helpful, everything thats PERFECT when your nervous and need help with your animal! Their pricing is affordable. Did I mention there is also the lovely shelter with some of the sweetest pups waiting for homes! Please consider this place when shopping for a new family member at the shelter or your vet needs at the clinic... you will NOT be disappointed! Thank you Kim and staff for helping my boys foot yesterday! I just can't thank you enough.... A+ in my book!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this shelter. They have cared for three of my cats over the years, and every experience has been incredible. The staff is compassionate, knowledgeable, and truly dedicated to the well-being of the animals. You can tell they genuinely love what they do. My cats have all been healthy, well-socialized, and clearly cared for before coming home. I’m so grateful for the work they do and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to adopt.

This is a great place to find your next forever pet. I personally visited this facility and met with the owner and staff. Everyone was helpful, supportive, and knowledgeable. The animals were very cute, well behaved and well taken care of. Consider visiting Sterling Animal Shelter when looking for your next pet.

Biggest 5 Star review I can give. Sterling Shelter and Clinic are AMAZING! They rescue dogs in batches from the South mostly and bring them up to MA for adoption. If your looking for a dog they are always getting new batches of dogs under a year old. Tons of puppies coming through. For a private shelter the prices are reasonable when compared to buying a dog. (EDIT - I understand between 500 - 650 dollars can seem high to some people, but remember this is a private shelter, and they are fully taking care of the animal health wise before allowing them into your home via adoption. I paid I think 200 dollars for my dog in 2017 from a Midwestern Shelter that was fully state funded, so I think for the quality of care Sterling has for a North Eastern shelter, plus the ease of entry for adoptio
