Steinhauser's Brookshire

Just call before you drive out for show feed stock. Well organized and has lots of other stuff in stock for dogs, cats, and livestock.

I recently had the opportunity to shop at Steinhauser's in Brookshire for the past year as a new farm owner. Initially, I appreciated the convenience of having a store closer to my farm, even though I noticed their prices were generally higher than those at other retailers. However, my recent experience has left me quite disappointed. Two days ago, I visited the store to purchase some equipment for my new horse and sought assistance from the staff. Unfortunately, their guidance led me to choose items that were not suitable for my needs. After giving them a try, I realized they were completely unusable for my situation. Well stocked in what a rancher needs. Load outs for hay and feed, palletized delivery on request. Round bale delivery.

Nice and Friendly Staff. Smells like the General Stores from the Old Days. Clean and the Employees are knowledgeable. I needed a bail of hay for bedding and they accommodated me swiftly. You pay inside and the guy near the truck trailers takes a certain copy of the receipt. Like every time I come here for something, In and Out in a flash. I'll be visiting this location again in the future. 😎👍💖

Girl behind the desk was rude to my husband (black), that is until I (white) started asking the questions....felt more than a bit racially motivated...we don't have this issue at the one in Richmond which is where we usually go so it through us both for a loop, especially considering our little lasldies had intentionally directed us to this location for something specific to them... alas Amazon wins again...
