I am beyond thankful that I found St Francis Emergency Hospital for my dog Angus. On New Year’s Eve my dog was vommitting and not acting like himself at all. I brought him to a different vet (VEG Miami) and was told he had an obstruction and given the option to pay 13k or put him to sleep. Not able to pay and not willing to give up I took him to St Francis and I’m so glad I did. Not only were they so incredibly sweet to my baby but they took such amazing care of him. They quoted me less than half the price for the same surgery and were so thorough in their care of him. They decided to hold off on surgery to make sure he would be stable enough ( the other vet was going to rush him in as is). The staff is so warm and genuinely invested in the well-being of the animals. You can feel the love in everything they do. I recently visited with a friend whose dog had been hit by a car and sadly passed away this morning. In the midst of overwhelming distress, a tall gentleman at the hospital stood out by staying calm, offering genuine compassion, and providing thoughtful words of support. His empathy helped our friend process the moment when she needed it most, and he offered practical, comforting advice during a very tough time. I’m grateful for the way the hospital staff respected our emotions and remained open during such hours. There are very few veterinarian hospitals where staff members treat their patients with dignity and respect. The service I've received at St Francis has truly been one of the best. The employees are hospitable, caring, and truly want the best for their patients. Their willingness to offer more affordable options and work with pet owners to ensure their animals receive the care they need truly sets them apart.
