Southtowns Animal Hospital

We have been going to Southtowns Animal Hospital for over 12 years. We’ve never had a bad experience with anyone. The first 3 cats that we had were treated with kindness and compassion and respect, as well as us.Within two years, we lost all 3 of them, unfortunately, to diseases that couldn’t be cured. Though, we were able to keep one cat, with us, for 1&1/2years, instead of the 6month window ( due to our giving him injections and IV fluids, once a day)Dr.Kandefer and DrJacobi and all the techs there were so kind and supportive during these difficult times. Also, they understood when we wanted to go get a 2nd opinion on our other cat, that was diagnosed with feline leukemia. The staff is very compassionate. I have taken numerous animals and always received the best care. I used a different vet before finding this vet clinic and was very unhappy with them. I was told I had to put down a 9 year old cat (who was stressed because I moved and only needed hydration after that he lived to 18 years old) and not given any other options. At Southtowns animal hospital they give all available options and treatments along with the option of doing hospice care or as a very last resort euthanization. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a vet.

I have had the opportunity to see all four vets at Southtowns since moving to this area 1 1/2 years ago. They are all incredibly kind and caring, as are the techs and office staff. Wonderful group and they are willing to work within your budget to give your pet the care it needs.i have to add that when I was in for a recheck last weekend, the office staff mentioned a pet who had a problem and was seen twice in a short period. They did their absolute best to find a spot they could schedule this pet so it didn’t have to wait weeks to be seen. Amazing that they care about their clients so much.

This place is so amazing, awesome staff and very reasonable prices.

We have been nothing but extremely happy since switching to this practice. Our dog recently had a dental cleaning, and while under anesthesia had two cysts removed. The vet called prior to the surgery to tell me that our dog was doing well and as long as her blood pressure was stable they were going to proceed. I got a phone call post-op to let me know how our dog was doing and she was released with clear instructions. I've found the staff to be friendly, compassionate and the follow-up is excellent. I feel the service we receive is top notch and while the location us a bit farther away, it's worth the drive for the quality of care. So happy we made the switch!!
