There aren’t many pet stores in the French Quarter, so we were especially glad to find this gem. They offer a great selection of toys, treats, gear, and more. If you're staying in the Quarter and want to pick up something special for your pet, this is the perfect spot. We visited during Mardi Gras, and the outside décor was festive and fun.

Southern Paws in the French Quarter is such a beautiful little boutique and a refreshing change in the type of store in this high tourist area. The staff is so friendly and even called their new location nearby to confirm they had the shirt size I was looking for. The prices can be a little high, but since it’s a different store type in the French Quarter area I was okay with paying more.
