We have been coming to Carrollton vet with our dog since our old vet(s) retired, after we searched for years for another amazing private vet practice. Dr Algero is caring and knowledgeable. He is patient in explaining what he believes might be going on, the tests (if any) necessary, next steps, any meds he thinks might help, side effects, etc, and always a clear explanation of why and our options. Vets like Dr Algero are the best - they only care about what's best for your pet and work with you all the way. They are walk-in only, but they are clear about that and they let you know if there's a long wait (emergency ahead of you) or other factors. Their rates are very reasonable imo. Crossposting from Yelp. I regret not doing this years ago and still think about this place more often than I'd like to. My baby girl Yuma died on March 3, 2014, just before her first birthday. I took her to Carrollton Veterinary Hospital on February 20 because she had vomited twice and wasn’t eating. Her vomit was brown and smelled like feces — I assumed she’d eaten poop, something she sometimes did. Dr. Algero examined her and assured me it was nothing serious — probably a stomach bug or something she’d eaten that would pass. He explicitly said there was no obstruction, and that the brown vomit was just bile. He prescribed medication that helped with the vomiting and checked in regularly, but her appetite never returned. I could not recommend Dr. Algero enough! I found my chicken in the yard after being attacked and she was hardly responding. I was so scared that no one would be able to see my chicken in the area. I called the office and he squeezed me in last min. He knew exactly what to do as soon as he examined her. After IV fluids and antibiotics she was much better. Without his help we would have lost her. While I did feel somewhat ridiculous for bringing my chicken to the vet, he never made me feel that way. He was so kind and empathetic and loving to my hen. I am so grateful. I would never go to another vet for any of my pets. Amazing vet! Highly recommend! Pictures before and after below :)

I have been taking my fur babies to Carrollton Veterinary for 20+ years and counting. Dr. Alergo is amazing and he has the best team. Everyone is knowledgeable, caring, and friendly! Dr. Alergo will never do anything unnecessary to run up your bill.
