Southern Oregon Humane Society

We came here looking for one of their kittens. It's the first time that I have come to Southern Oregon Humane Society. They were super honest and knowledgeable about each cat. They were super helpful in understanding how to interact with the cat. I'm not sure if it was just the day, it smelled incredibly bad in the room, to the point where I had to actually change my clothes when I got home. I'm not sure if they're just short-staffed, or if it was getting close to the day that they were supposed to be changing some linens or whatever, but it was pretty stinky! There are lots of animals, and animal smells are part of that. So I didn't really bother me. But I did want to mention that as part of my review so others would know if it does bother them. I dropped a pet food donations off and the staff was so helpful carrying things in and thanking me repeatedly for the donation

I've adopted two amazing dogs from the Southern Oregon Humane Society over the years. In 2009 I adopted the best dog ever who lived until he was 16 years old. This year we adopted a sweet rottie mix puppy. Grateful for the work SO Humane does!

2nd time adopting from here. Love the staff, very kind and knowledgeable. We adopt their kids, most of which they are proud of! Nothing is witheld and they are honestly finding good homes and fits for people and pets.
