Dr Townsend has taken care of all my babies for nearly 10 years. She kept my extremely diabetic cat alive for 9 years, insulin dependent. She cares about her patients, and when the end came for Willie, she shared in our grief for Willie. She was very emotional, along with staff. She has al ways put the best interest of the patient first, and even let us know if we weren't doing what we needed to. I never felt She was rude, just looking out for her patients needs. If your expecting her to coddle you and prance through the clinic with an overly bubbly demeanor, that's not going to happen. She's too laser focused on what's really important...your pet, her patient

I am writing to formally complain about the negligence that caused the death of my dog, Hercules, on February 14,2026. We trusted this clinic, but your failure to provide standard care resulted in a preventable tragedy. I am sharing this so that other pet owners are aware of the risks at your facility and can prevent their own pets from suffering a similar fate. I expect a formal explanation and will be escalating this matter to ensure accountability and the safety of other animals in our community."

I have recently started going to Dr. Townshend at South Hall Animal Hospital in Oakwood, GA. I am now bringing my 3 dogs there and my neighbors cat. I am very pleased with the excellent service and how much Dr. Townshend cares about the pets and their owners. She explains everything in detail in words people can understand, not all the medical terminology most people have no idea what that means. She is very easy to understand. Her prices are great!! Fair and honest pricing, no hidden fees. I had the teeth of my 15 year old Lab mix cleaned there and I have never seen her teeth that clean and white!!!! They looked like brand new teeth. Another vet I had previously taken her to years ago for a teeth cleaning left yellow stains on her teeth and told me the stains would never come out. WRONG

South Hall Veterinary Hospital is the absolute best! The staff here have always been fantastic… I really cannot say enough how great these people are! HUGE shout-out to Grooming by Kory! Every summer, we bring in our Husky for a haircut, and you can see how much better she feels (and looks!) getting all that hair shaved off of her! She’s like a brand new dog! If you’re looking for a vet hospital that is friendly, welcoming, and makes you (and your pets) feel valued, then I highly recommend South Hall Veterinary Hospital!
