Dr. Upton and the staff at South End Vet Clinic were absolutely amazing. He took the time to really explain what was going on with my pup, answered all of my questions, and made sure I felt informed and comfortable every step of the way. What truly stood out was the thoughtful, detailed treatment plan he put together. It was clear his focus was on my dog’s health and well-being, not just on money. I felt heard, respected, and confident in the care Riley received. I’m so grateful to have found such a compassionate and knowledgeable veterinarian. I recently moved from Chicago to Charlotte and wanted to find a vet that I could feel 100% confident with when it came to my dog’s needs — I am beyond grateful that I found South End Vet! Every vet and specialist I’ve met here has shown not only deep knowledge of veterinary medicine (including emerging studies and treatments) but also a genuine care for every patient as if they were their own pet. Dr. Cole Upton vaccinated and examined my dog today, and he is phenomenal to say the least! He really went above and beyond when it came to making personalized recommendations for my pet’s care (backing each one with scientific evidence, which I really appreciated!). Went here for my first vet appointment as a cat mom and they couldn’t have made it a better experience! I was the opening appointment on a Monday and everyone I interacted with was very friendly and helpful. My 9/10 month kitty had to get bloodwork and a vaccine booster but our vet did an amazing job of keeping her calm and comfortable while informing me on what we were doing! Great experience

Amazing clinic with very caring staff. Our golden doodle puppy came to us with a persistent tapeworm infection. Dr Upton and the whole team went above and beyond accommodating last minute visits , trouble shooting and providing cost-considerate treatments. I can’t recommend this clinic enough.

South End Vet Clinic is the best. Our dogs love Dr Maples. I was so sad to move and have to switch vets. Highly recommend South End Vet! They will take the best care of your animals.
