Smooches For Pooches

My dog loves it here! Not only does Kelly do a great job keeping my dog clean and his nails the right length but she always gives him compliments and sometimes he’s allowed to play with her dogs when they join her for the workday (pug bonding.) The staff communicates well with their human clients and clearly takes good care of their doggy clients. I highly recommend Smooches for Pooches as a groomer or a daycare.

My 11 month old mini Bernedoodle Elara was completely messed up by a groomer at a chain store. She had matts on her ears and her butt and we trusted the groomer to take care of her and he left her off so much worse. She was uneven in so many places and looked so bad. My aunt and uncle had been coming to Smooches for Pooches for years with their dog and highly recommended them. I called and they were able to get her in, fixed the matts and she still left looking so cute!! (As a doodle owner, whenever you hear matts and needing to shave them you automatically think it means they’ll look ugly coming out, but she was able to make her coat healthy and take out the knots without sacrificing cuteness!) Her groomer educated us on our dogs coat and how often she should be coming in for maintenance,

Smooches for Pooches is a great place. My Abbie loves to go there and comes out with an A+ grooming. The staff is professional, friendly, and courteous. They are the best.

I’m so pleased!! My dog has had problems switching from his original groomer he had from birth. They worked with him so well even though he was a little difficult and gave him the cutest cut it was exactly what I wanted. This is the best my little Charlie has ever looked!!

Despite spending a lot of time explaining how we wanted our dog groomed, he ended up being trimmed way too short and choppy. When I expressed concern upon picking him up they said he had a lot of mats that required them to do this - he had mats behind his ears and rear end, a few in his tail - and previous grooming elsewhere in worse shape did not require this kind of a groom. I am most dissatisfied with the way they responded to my concerns. Paying $100 for a groom I would expect to be happy about it or be offered a free or severely discounted groom next time to make it right, offering to shape it up doesn’t help when he is already cut too short. I usually post negative reviews but I tried talking directly to the owner about our concerns and was not happy with her reaction. I have ha
