I cannot thank Andy ENOUGH for the work he did with my very enthusiastic dog, Luke. Luke just graduated today from the 2-week boarding + dog training program out here at Smith Farms Boarding Kennels in Conyers, GA. Once training completed this afternoon, Andy brought him to my house and spent some time teaching me what he taught Luke over the past couple of weeks. Now that I know the right way to train, I see where I went so wrong when trying to wing it myself. Now I know how to maintain these most enjoyable manners! We just went on our first walk, and he was a DREAM. It was our first pleasurable, leashed outing since I adopted him a year and a half ago. I’m beyond thrilled!!!! Having a peaceful relationship with my pup was worth every penny! I also want to add that the facilities are
I cannot recommend Smith Farms and Andy enough. I have a 90lb rescue Shepherd mix. Sweet boy but he came with high energy, over use of a big bark and a lot of fear. We met with Andy for an assessment and decided it was worth saving for the training. Boy were we correct! We have gone from a dog that couldn’t focus outside just from the scent distractions to a boy who can stay walking in a heel and follow commands while our neighbours dog goes nuts across the street. Husband and I are about to welcome a new family member and we loved that Andy also talked to us about handling a dog when you have a baby and behaviour to discourage and encourage. I know a lot of people talk about getting a “new/different “ dog back from training. That always worried me so I am happy to say we got our Goof
We recently adopted a shelter dog who was wonderful, but had some challenging behaviors. After trying many different things and having some upcoming travel where we would need care for our dog, we decided to try Smith Farms Board & Train program. It was such a wonderful decision and I'm so glad that we did! We were nervous to leave our dog Finn for an extended period of time, but the staff made sure to make Finn very comfortable and happy. Andy, the trainer that worked with Finn, was also amazing! He went above and beyond with Finn and we were so pleased with his behavior when he was returned to us. Andy made sure to take time explaining how to continue Finn's training at home so that we weren't left feeling confused. Instead we were confident that we could help Finn adapt to being home ag
We just boarded our two dogs this past weekend for the first time and we are so excited to have found this place. There was a noticeable difference in our dogs demeanor when we picked them up compared to when we picked them up at their old boarding facility. Our dogs were calm, happy, and didn’t smell like dog pee! The facility itself is very nice, everyone I spoke to was very kind and you could tell they really cared about dogs, and they offer amazing additional services like fetch. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area.
Leaving our beloved Irish Setter Doodle, Benji Washington, for a week was a big decision for us. As first-time boarders, and with Benji being almost three and not neutered, we were naturally a little anxious. However, from our very first phone call with Smith Kennel in Conyers, our worries began to ease and this truly was a positive experience for both us and our. The customer service over the phone was outstanding. The staff member I spoke with was patient, friendly, and thoroughly answered all my questions. They took the time to understand Benji's breed and age, and clearly explained their boarding procedures, which immediately put me at ease. Our positive impression only grew when we arrived in person. The explanation of their facilities and care was detailed and reassuring. The grounds
