Shaggy Chic Pet Salon

Shaggy Chic is an absolute treasure of a business here in Western Goochland! My dogs love going to get their spa day! Our Pyrenees hated the groomer like nobody's business until we started bringing her here. My grand dog, who can be a little shy, went for her first appt today and came home as happy as can be! We are so thankful to have such a great choice so close to home!

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!! I booked appointment with friends recommendation. I didn't know my appointment was then based on who got their first. I let 2 cars go up the driveway before me. This made my pick up even longer; likely leaving my dog in a cage longer!! The WORST was spending time explaining I did NOT want a summer cut or short cut of any kind as my dog is thin. He came out looking like he joined the Marines!! Shaved to the skin. HORRIBLE! My dog was shaking!! You pay in advance, with tip, so I was not able to get any money back. Crafty of them! WOW - 8 weeks later - they didn't even call or email asking about "next" grooming appointment; no reminder or an email on why I didn't show up. Customer service??? NOPE!

These guys are magical. My very won't even clip my dog's nails without sedation. They took her back and two minutes later I had a happy puppy with no drama! Would definitely recommend!

Gave them several chances and in the end I cannot recommend. Dogs acted STRESSED. Got quoted 2 different prices. The final situation was my dog had something in their fur on their back (think dry hair mousse) when I dropped them off. When I picked the dog up it was still there…but my dog looked blown with dryer and sprayed with cologne.

More than impressed w this company!! My sweet pup needed some help & they got her in quickly, the pricing is more than reasonable, & they also educated me on things I really needed to know for moving forward w her grooming appointments. Most importantly, they put her comfort above anything else. Thank you thank you thank you!
