A family friendly experience from start to finish. Our family, especially my daughter, had such a wonderful experience with hands on activities included in the hatching curriculum and watching the chicks hatch. I appreciate how easy it is to order online and pick up. They were very quick to respond to questions along the way via text. Great for any family wanting a backyard flock or fun, educational family experience.

I brought home 4 pullets the end of August. My copper maran was walking strangely and looked a little beat up. I wrote it off that she had just been picked on and was stressed. After a month she was not getting better and started having neurological symptoms and closing one eye. Her eyes started to turn gray and she was going blind. Turned out she had Marek’s disease! She cost $60 and was very clearly not ok when I got her home but this was my first experience with this illness and it makes me upset seeing someone else also got a sick chicken, same disease, same time frame from there. Now all my chickens have been exposed to a highly contagious disease and whether they get sick or not remains to be seen. I would not recommend buying from there. we rehomed a rooster here this weekend. His name is Frank and he really was sweet but we live in Lakewood so our neighbors were unpleasant with us about him, which we get but still a drag. It was really nice to find a service that would take him in and give him another chance. We were given a very nice lil package of treats for our hens by the grand children and the coops are really nice and clean and perfect for the group of roosters aka the Gentleman's Club. Hopefully he fits in and has a much better life then we could offer in the city.

Mareks Disease Warning I bought a sexed female silkie August 2025, which is not cheap by the way since it's a guaranteed female. I noticed right away that one of her feet was curled a little when we got her home, although she was still getting around ok. They did refund me half for that. I thought maybe it was just a birth deformity never corrected but her condition got worse over a few weeks and she became paralyzed in both legs, couldn't walk at all, and stopped eating and drinking. I'm a novice backyard chicken keeper so it took me a bit to learn what this was but it was definitely Mareks, vet confirmed. They obviously should've mentioned the possibility at least when I alerted them about her foot. I'm fairly new to this so i didnt even know this was something i had to worry about. They
