I cannot say enough good things about this veterinary office. I bring my cats, Kook and Pogue (sisters), together every year for their annual visit because Pogue gets very stressed when separated. From the moment we walk in, the staff is warm, patient, and genuinely kind. The techs and doctor truly seem to take an interest in my girls and treat them like they matter — even when Pogue drools the entire appointment and throws in an occasional hiss for good measure. They handle her anxiety with such calm professionalism and compassion, which means the world to me. The exams are always thorough. I especially appreciate that they explain everything and always ask before doing any additional vaccines, blood work, samples, or medications. Today's experience was horrible. I arrived with my 5 month old kitten for the last of their injections. There was active construction in progress and the roof was in shambles. The entire visit was nothing but hammering, stomping and the constant sounds of a half dozen people working on the roof. This is supposed to be "Feline Friday". A calm and relatively relaxing experience for cats, it was the opposite. At the end of my visit, I got in my vehicle to leave and suddenly there was a stranger outside screaming at the top of their lungs at me. I had no idea what was going on and I could not understand what he was saying. For a moment I was frozen in panic. Eventually his hand gestures clued me in, he wanted me to move. When you work with people, your tone sets how the conversation will go. The staff there was amazing. But the vet I saw today was absolutely horrible. Due to some major life changes, vet care took a bit to get back into as it can after going through a major life change. I have always taken my dogs in to get seen whenever anything has changed. I took my big baby into today. I was explaining what another vet told me about my dogs skin. She snapped at me very rude and going on about getting skin test done. Every dog breed is different. I use to see one in wv who was very knowledgeable about mastiffs, cane corsos, and great Danes. I should have done more research before even going here. My dog can be intimidating and pretty difficult. He gets super anxious. The vet and her assistants are always so friendly and understanding to Pote’s needs and behavior. I truly appreciate them!
