I adopted my sweet Elliot from SAFe almost 8 years ago, and returning now as a volunteer has only deepened my appreciation for this incredible organization. I’ve also volunteered with a few other rescues and have grown up with cats my entire life, so I feel confident saying that SAFe is truly something special. The staff and volunteers are genuine, compassionate cat lovers who put their whole hearts into this work. They take the time to learn each cat’s unique personality, quirks, and needs so they can make the best possible match with adopters. You can feel how deeply they care about setting every cat up for success. The facility is nearly spotless, the enclosures are thoughtfully maintained, and the cats receive excellent veterinary care. Beyond that, the atmosphere is warm, calm, and

Highly recommand Seattle Area Feline Rescue to all cat owners looking for nee cats! They have well-trained staff and well-established program to help you find the right cats! I am able to find 2 bonded kittens at 5-month-old with potty-trained, fixed, most of vacinne done, microchip on. They also give out good cat food to help you start. It saves a lot with those all included. They also check in on the cats to ensure you have all the supports needed. It was a smooth experience as a new cat owner, so really appreaciate what they are doing for the cats, cat owners, and the community.

Our experience has not been great. Someone mentioned that they don't have a play area, this is a big issue we have too. When we adopted our kittens, brother and sister, we weren't allowed to take them out of their cage. As it turned out, the male is very feral. Unfortunately he's developed mange, our vet said likely from the shelter, and trying to catch him to treat him or even taking him to the vet has caused him even more stress. We're treating him with "Revolution" per our vet, we also treating his sister too, just to be safe. All in all, not very pleased with the transparency. Attached are before and after photos and about $800 worth of vet bills in 5 weeks.

We adopted a brother and sister kitty that were 6 months old. That was a year ago. They are healthy, happy, bonded to each other, and us. The sweetest cats we've ever met. SAFE made sure they were vaccinated, spayed and neutered, and overall healthy. We would adopt from them again in a heartbeat.
