Scrub-A-Pup Self-Serve Laundromutt

Saturday was our first time here and we were really impressed! The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and both our girls took to him immediately! We have a Belgian Malanois and an Australian Shepherd , both of which get their nails clipped at vet appointments but not usually in between. I was really impressed with the way the staff competently handled two big dogs that aren’t used to having their nails trimmed. Both girls were happy and their nails look fantastic . We’ll be coming back for regular nail trims! Customers for life!

I love this place! Having 2 labs to get a bath is exhausting at home. We use the self wash room. Rooms are great size and set up well. I do wish the water faucet was easier to reach. After getting the temperature of water set, it’s perfect. Convenient location also. The people working there have been really nice each time I’ve been there. Yes, I definitely recommend this place for sure!

First time here and we’ll be back! The water pressure was good and they had towels, soap and a treat for our boy! Nice clean place. We typically go to tractor supply but I think the extra $10 is worth your personal space with your furbaby!

I have been taking my dog to Scrub-A-Pup Self-Serve Laundromutt for grooming, and I am beyond impressed with her service. On two occasions, I arrived a few minutes late for our appointments. While I completely understand the importance of punctuality and the need to adhere to late policies, they were incredibly understanding and still accommodated us. I wouldn't recommend being late, as she has a busy schedule with many dogs to groom, but her understanding nature and dedication to knowing what's best for your pet make her stand out. Unlike other grooming services in Richmond, such as PetSmart, where I've had less-than-pleasant experiences, Scrub-A-Pup Self-Serve Laundromutt has always been kind and professional. I really wanted to love Scrub A Pup, but unfortunately the experience has been incredibly frustrating. I’ve attempted to bring my dogs three separate times now, and two of those visits they were unexpectedly closed—despite online hours indicating they were open. No signage on the door. No updates on social media. It’s a huge inconvenience to load up multiple dogs and drive a decent distance only to be met with a locked door and no explanation. The one time I did get to use the facility, it was a cute little self-serve setup and worked well, but unfortunately, consistency and communication are key for any business, especially one catering to pet owners. Until they improve their reliability and communication, I can’t justify trying again. Really disappointing.
