I recently moved to Columbus, and after a negative veterinary experience here, I felt compelled to leave a review for Dr. Sara Wells and The Scratching Post. Thank you for being so kind and loving to my cats! I am incredibly grateful for the care you provided to my two cats while we lived in Dayton. Dr. Wells was always thorough, thoughtful, and compassionate. She provided excellent education and support, especially after one of my cats underwent surgery, and she truly treated my cats as if they were her own. She is exceptional not only in feline medical care, but also in cat behavior education, and she always allowed ample time for discussion and shared decision making, which made every visit feel collaborative and unrushed. We recently switched to Scratching Post Cat Hospital & Retreat because I needed to get our two girls chipped and my current vet was charging a lot. We saw Dr Wells for their yearly checkups and she was fantastic! She took a lot of time with them both and answered all our questions. We saw Dr Summers the following month for a possible food allergy for one of our kitties. Instead of giving her a steroid injection, he's helping us figure out the root cause of her rash and itchiness. I am grateful for the kind staff from the office workers, the techs and the vets, and I appreciate that it's a cat-only business, which lessens the stress to our cats. And their fees are reasonable. I'm so glad I found them and made the switch.

I've been going to Dr. Summers for over 21 years and he is, by far, the most knowledgeable and caring veterinarian I have ever been to. I would never consider going to anyone else. He has, on multiple occasions, gone out of his way to care for my cats and has saved one of them twice when I didn't think there was a chance of keeping him alive.

Two of my cats have autoimmune disorders and I learned the hard way how important it is to have a good vet when something weird comes up. My life has been so much less stressful since changing to Scratching Post. I can't say enough good about this practice! Excellent bedside manner, excellent care, reasonable prices. I wish I found this place years ago!

The care our fur babies receive at Scratching Post is beyond amazing! The doctors treat our kitties like family, the staff is super gentle and amazing. I would highly recommend them for your cat’s needs. 🐈🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛
