Save A Galgo Espanol

So far we have adopted 3 Galgos with Sagehounds/Save a Galgo Espanol and we couldn't be more pleased. These darling pups are amazing and bring so much joy to our lives!!! Working with Petra and the other staff is great- smooth, informative and direct. The on-going support we receive from Sagehounds is wonderful. They have so much insight, experience and wisdom about these sweet dogs. The situation for Galgos and Podencos in Spain is horrific and so the work that everyone at Sagehounds does is so important. We HIGHLY recommend adopting a dog with this wonderful organization as long as you have the time, energy and lifestyle that will allow you to give your dog the opportunity to thrive and live his/her best life as a welcome part of your family.

SAGE is such a fantastic adoption group! The process for adopting my Galgo was simple and supportive. SAGE clearly knows their dogs well, which was reassuring in this process. I wholeheartedly recommend adopting a galgo from SAGE. We adopted Frida in 2022 - she is pure joy in dog form. If you want a silly, cuddly, playful dog, a galgo is perfect for you. Petra found the perfect dog to place with us. The whole process was quick, smooth, and supportive. She listened to us about our life circumstances and has provided guidance even years later. We fully plan to adopt all of our future dogs from SAGE.

Worked with SAGE on the east coast in 2020 for our first Galgo adoption. Petra and the amazing organization worked tirelessly to get our adopted boy to us, even during a pandemic. My fiancé and I have been incredibly lucky to adopt not one, but two galgos from Save A Galgo Espanol. They do amazing work to find homes for a lot of dogs, and they made the process incredibly easy for us. Now we have two sweet babies from their organization, and we couldn’t be happier.
