Saratoga County Animal Shelter

The shelter staff was very kind and easy to work with. Carly and a volunteer helped me find my new cat Sesame Seed!! I appreciate the thorough instructions given by Carly as this is my first cat I have ever owned and the kindness of the volunteer who brought me to meet sesame in the kennels. 100% recommend supporting this animal shelter in any way you can!

Went in not fully expecting to adopt a dog after visiting 3 different shelters in one day, but me and my kiddos walked out with an amazing experience and a handsome boy that is the best fit for us. Could not be happier 😊🥰

Adopted two cats from this shelter. Great staff, exceptional volunteers (Karen!!!!) Well educated and go the extra mile not just for me, but for other people who adopted. Clean environment, and cats are well kept and obviously loved even if they are only going to stay with the shelter for a brief time before being adopted. Recommend highly to anyone looking for a shelter they can trust.

Amazing place! I went to the Mohawk Humane Society before this and it's like night and day. We were in need of a second cat to help keep our first cat company! 🐈 There was plenty of staff to help and greet us and we could tell the animals were well cared for. When we arrived we saw a volunteer walking the dogs individually to get them exercise. We got in and were able to walk the halls looking at the cats in individual cages (with the glass window and multiple compartments). We found a cat, Bazaar, and he immediately caught our attention so we wanted to meet him. We went to the front who had us fill out a simple adoption form and within minutes we're back meeting him with a staff member. They explained how they got him, how they felt his temperament was, and answered any questions we had.

adopted a kitten in 2020 and went back to adopt a senior hospice cat in 2022. Hospice cat is still kicking. Great organization. Terri, the animal rescue officer is one of a kind.
