San Diego Humane Society's El Cajon Campus

We adopted Bingo from the El Cajon campus in late April and she has been the perfect addition to our nutty little family. We stopped by on a whim after seeing her picture on the website and were heartbroken to learn she’d been adopted and returned three times prior to us adopting her. Being avid Heeler owners, we know people frequently underestimate the mental and physical stimulation these dogs require. We brought her home and she instantly became part of the pack. We just adore her and are so grateful to SDHS for all they do. The staff at the El Cajon campus were incredible. My only criticism would be they the insurance sales person, while friendly, will make you feel obligated to sign up then will INUNDATE you with emails after canceling.

Just adopted a cat named Snickers the other day. She instantly warmed up to us and is genuinely the sweetest cat ever. I’m so glad I came at the perfect time to find her. She’s the best little girl I’ve ever had.

Was a very friendly place and friendly people. I came in and adopted this sweetie here. Her name was Sox, now Purrsephone. Incase someone checks their reviews I want them to know it has been 3 days and she's becoming very comfortable and happy and we love having her here.

jacob at the front counter was so amazing, friendly, and informative! this establishment is very clean and a beautiful building for a shelter. these people really care about their animals and the families that they go to! 10/10 recommend that you check this place out for your next addition to your family! ost dog We are looking for our dog. Does anyone know who adopted this dog from the El Cajon animal shelter on Friday or Saturday? Our pool guy accidentally let our dogs out. They were picked up and dropped off at the El Cajon animal shelter. When we went in, they only released one of our dogs to us. They wanted to fix the other one. Told us to come back in 3 days. We came back 2 more times after the 3 days and there was still a hold on our dog. They told us they would call us. We were finally called to pick him up Thursday. There was a medical emergency on Thursday and we couldn’t make it, but we called them. When we went in Friday, they told us there was still a hold on our dog and to come back Saturday at noon. When we show up Saturday at noon, they tell us they adopted our dog out to
