Devotion to Dogs

I can't say enough wonderful things about Devotion To Dogs. I purchased a puppy that was supposed to fly from OK to CA. He was placed on ground transport at the last minute, and stuck in a pet crate for 4 days due to bad weather. By the time he arrived, he was traumatized. I contacted Devotion To Dogs and placed him in their 2 week Board and Train. My little puppy came back to me after 2 weeks happy, confident, and calm. He was crate trained, knew his obedience commands, was loving the structure and training they set up for him, and was eager to learn more. We have been attending their weekly Social Class which has reinforced what ge has learned in his training, and keep him social with other people and dogs (wonderful they offer this weekly). My dog was reactive to everything, especially dogs. It made both of us miserable, embarrassing and I was borderline resented him. I couldn’t take him anywhere. Devotion To Dogs has saved both of us. Never in a million years did I think I could take my pup to any brewery, farmers market, cafe, etc. I’m writing this while sitting at a brewery with other dogs, kids running around people everywhere. My Jackson is sleeping at my feet. Jackson wasn’t the only one trained, I was trained as well. This isn’t just a training and done forever. They offer free weekly socialization classes which are incredibly helpful. There are not enough words to say how grateful I am to Ben and his team. I truly believe they love Jackson.

I can’t say enough great things about Martina. She truly has that it factor when it comes to dog training. Her deep understanding of canine body language, combined with her nurturing demeanor and natural talent as an educator, sets her apart. She took the time to work one-on-one with each puppy, tailoring her approach to meet their individual needs. Her methods were clear, practical, and easy to follow, making the training experience both effective and enjoyable. What I also love about this place is the consistent support. Whenever you need something, they show up and deliver. The care and dedication from the entire team go above and beyond. Highly recommend!

I had started to lose faith that I’d be able to keep my German Shepherd mix, Walnut, due to her intense reactivity and territorial behavior. She was resource guarding, had poor recall, and was incredibly stubborn. I was overwhelmed and didn’t know what else to do. Devotion to Dogs was recommended to me, and it was the best decision I’ve ever made for my girl. Walnut completed their two-week board and train program and came back a new dog, in the best way. No more lunging at strangers or other dogs. She plays nicely at the park and dog beach again, just like when she was younger before the reactivity set in. Both of our dogs have done the board and train program at Devotion to Dogs. Ben is a highly knowledgeable trainer and the program made a big difference in our dogs. They have fear aggression and previously couldn't be around people or other dogs. Within the second week of board and train, we were walking them around public places. Ben, Dustin, Taylor, Alyssa, and the team all made sure that we were given clear instructions as owners to continue this training at home.
