San Angelo Animal Services

My experience has been exceptional. I have contacted Animal Services twice and received immediate help each time. Their staff has been highly efficient and respectful throughout the process. Thank you for the professionalism.

I don't get why this department exists. They do NOTHING. They are worthless. I called them so they could send someone to my neighbor's because they neglect their 4 dogs in their yard (no shelter, no water, no shade, no food for days). Later in the day the "animal control officer" calls and tells me I shouldn't be accusing people of animal neglect/abuse. I asked if she had gone to my neighbors' and she said "yes". I asked if she got to see the dogs she said "no". I asked why she was claiming I was wrongly accusing people of neglect if she didn't get to see the dogs. She said she couldn't verify it because it's not legal to look over private fencing. So, I asked again why she was harrassing me without proving me wrong. First of all the employees do not care about you or what you are experiencing with wild dogs out on the loose while you are trying to be in your own yard. Do not speak with katherine she will hang up on you and be super unprofessional. She would not help me whats so ever when the dog is out on the loose and was trying to attack me in my own yard. I was able to call after the encounter and she said we cant do anything and then hung up on me when I asked if there was anything else they could do. This is the worst animal services san angelo could offer. They need to all be fired and hire people who actually care about the animals and the community! Super pathetic san angelo, do better!

These people are very nice. My call was returned within 15 minutes. A polite officer picked up an animal that I caught in a trap. I appreciate the promptness and caring that he showed to the animal. This is the second time that I have had to call this year. The service they have given has been exceptional both times.

I have called four times asking for them to come to my house to pick up these two strays who won't leave my porch. One is a pregnant female dog and other male. They attack us when we leave our house so we have to use a broom to shoo them away. They whine and bark and scratch at our door and have tried digging at our fence to get in our backyard. My three dogs haven't stopped barking at them for a week. Animal control keeps claiming they will come out to look at them but have not come once. They will lie over the phone so they can go back to ignoring the problems in the city.
