I adopted a kitten here back in August and they gave me not just misinformation about how much getting her spayed from Angels of Assisi would cost but they told me the cat had to be spayed/neutered by a certain point. I got that done but when I tried update them about the vaccinations and getting my cat spayed, they cut me off from talking to them on instagram. They also don’t have the right information on how old the kitten is.

Bo the cat just jumped out of the cage when it was opened and into my friend's arms. It was love at first sight. Be sure to read the office sign that says cats tend to hide in their new home for a few days. The staff was wonderful.

Fantastic people doing fantastic work. Thank you for everything that you do. Anyone reading this, please donate to your local shelter, or visit them to adopt your next pet. Most are full and supplies aren't easy to come by!

The staff is wonderful and we absolutely love our new kitty. We named her Pepper. She is so sweet and and lovable. We are so happy that we could give her a loving home. I wish we could adopt more.

This shelter is actually quite literally terrible and devoid of care for any animal. My mother died last year and the deputy of the county she died in arranged for me to take her cats to this shelter. They not only blew me off for over two days saying "the manager is busy cleaning" but when I went in the third day to see the manager not doing anything at all, behind a desk. She then proceeded to ask me why my mother, (who was deceased and who the deputy had told her she was deceased) couldn't take care of the cats. I told her of my mother being deceased and I wasn't able to take in the cats myself, because I already had two and Salem city only allows a max of three per household, she proceeds to tell me shes going to file paperwork to put me on a "do not adopt" list for neighboring countie
