Safe Haven Humane Society

Safe Haven is a great organization with a staff that truly loves animals. We took the proper time to adopt our new forever friend, Clark and they were patient and allowed us to visit him every day for 2 weeks to ensure it was a good fit. Clark was not your "typical" dog. He's a Great Pyrenees which is a very, very unique breed that requires special attention and understanding of their breed's specific needs. Clark is doing well (we have had him for 5 days so far!) and Safe Haven has been in touch to ensure Clark is acclimating well. They even arranged for us to have a play date with Clark's sibling who was adopted a week prior. We highly recommend Safe Haven if you're looking for a great pet. There is an efficient, organized and thorough process to ensure the best match of a pet to your lifestyle and household. This week I was able to adopt and provide a forever home to a beautiful 9-year old cat. Had the pleasure of visiting Safe Haven recently — and what a perfect name! The staff are so friendly, knowledgeable, and truly dedicated. I live almost an hour away and I chose this place over my local humane shelter because Safe Haven describes the personalities of all the pets available online my local shelter wont tell you the cat has anxiety until you go to the shelter. Safe Haven is awesome!
