Safe Haven Animal Hospital

Thank you so much to the staff at Safe Haven for caring for my cat Sam. I woke up on Tuesday to him struggling to urinate, and I rushed him to an emergency vet hospital, but their estimate was much higher than I could afford. They suggested that I take Sam to Safe Haven for low-cost care. The staff immediately took him back, and the estimate I received was much more reasonable - just shy of 1,000 USD for all of the procedures, medication, and overnight hospitalization for 3 nights. Staff kept in contact with me every day and answered all of my questions. Be aware that they do not have staff on-site overnight for hospitalized patients, so if you required care for a critical/unstable patient, it may be best to try a 24 hour hospital. Smooth and easy process. I was nervous about the spay procedure and outcome but felt comfortable as soon as my dog was checked in. Everything went great and my dog is happy and back to herself after just 24hrs.Great place! So thankful for the opportunity to receive the low cost care with excellent quality.

My Cat Lucy ingested a foreign object and needed surgery, took her to another place that were charging me over $10,000 for the procedure. Thankfully the nurse of that same place saw the desperation on my eyes and suggested me to bring my baby to Safe Haven Animal Hospital. I believe God put that nurse on my path so my Lucy can receive the care that she needed. SHAH accommodated me and Lucy immediately and made sure my baby was receiving the care that she needed. The surgery went well despite of some unexpected complications that the foreign object cause to Lucy's intestines. However, Dr. Amy Crum went above and beyond to put not only Lucy's life first above any dollar signs, but also made sure Lucy recovered successfully. I cannot say enough good things about Safe Haven Animal Hospital. I was given devastating news elsewhere that my dog Bryson’s hernia and GI issues would either require a $5,000 surgery or euthanasia. Safe Haven didn’t just see a price tag or a hopeless case — they saw my dog and were willing to try. That meant everything to me. The staff was compassionate, honest, and patient, and they took the time to explain options without pressure or judgment. In one of the hardest moments I’ve faced as a pet owner, they showed empathy and care that I will never forget. I will always bring my animals here as long as I live in Houston. After putting off a dental cleaning due to very expensive quotes at our normal vet, I was told about SafeHaven. I spent 1/4 of estimated costs and within 24 hours after 9 tooth extractions, my grandma pup is back to her mischievous self and begging for treats! They did so well with her as she can be a bit anxious. They cleaned her furry face post op very well, and gave us all the meds a girl could need. Thank you yall so much for being a kind and affordable option for our fur babies! There needs to be more places and people like you all in this world. True modern day heroes. 💕
