Rocky Mountain K9 | Dog Boarding, Daycare, Training, & Grooming Ogden Utah Area

We recently boarded our cat Rocky (no relation) :) at Rocky Mt K9. It is very difficult to find a place to board your cat where they will be happy, not hiding or go on a hunger strike protest because you've left them! However, the staff treated our cat so kindly. We looked forward to the reports card each evening and thought it was so cute when the front desk receptionist was sad we were picking him up! She told us everyone really enjoyed him. When we got home we were expecting a day or two of being ignored but this didn't happen! We think it was because of the genuine care and attention he received during his 4 day stay at Rocky Mt K9. It’s a smaller facility, which I actually prefer. It feels more personal and not chaotic compared to other places I have taken my dogs to. I have two very high-energy dogs, and wearing them out is not easy, but they come home happy and exhausted almost every single time. They get excited as soon as they realize on where they are going. The staff has always been kind, understanding, and genuinely great with my boys. When I drop them off for daycare I know they are being so well taken care.

We were very happy with Rocky Mountain K9 for the first time boarding our two older dogs. They accommodated their special needs and managed them well. The daily report cards and pictures were very comforting and it was obvious that the caretakers were engaging with them. Below is an example of the pictures provided, and of how happy our dogs were. In hindsight, I would absolutely recommend the $20 bath on day of pick up, because they were smelly (as expected) from playing in the water.

Cut up my dog so badly in several places, we had to talk to the vet, who gave us antibiotics. Would have been happy to pay more for more time so they didn't need to rush. I now do our grooming. I'm a hair stylist and can work with a set of clippers. He may not be as perfect looking, but I have not cut him once, and I don't want to risk it ever again.

I tried Doggy daycare today after hearing some good Things about Rocky Mountain K-9/ Boarding. So far, it’s all good, he seemed to have a good time today and came home tired and happy! I didn’t feel I have enough of an experience to give a five star rating, but I will update as time goes on! (I just realized that I wrote this back in May but then never took the step of posting it. I have updated from a four to a five because my dog was also boarded for two weeks after his first daycare visit. He came home happy and well fed. I got daily pictures too, so important while I was recuperating from a knee replacement.
