Roaring Brook Kennels

We have been sending our dog Rio here for more than a year and it has been a wonderful experience so far. Rio jumps with excitement when we mention the name ‘daycare’. We even cut our morning walk short so that he can enjoy the daycare with his friends as much as he can and doesn’t get overtired. The staff at Roaring Brook are so friendly and take great care of our Rio. They let us know when Rio has had a good day, eaten his food, taken a nap. They even know Rio is our dog when we go to bring him back in the evening. We have also tried their boarding service which has also been a great experience.

Have been twice for grooming and groomer no-showed or canceled after my dog was already there. Tried boarding this time, 2 dogs with explicit instructions not to be put together (territorial under stress). Get a call while out of town that the dogs were let outside together and they fought. One has an abrasion on her face and a bloody eye. No way of us getting home sooner, they didn't even take her to the attached vet office (why we opted to board here for such instances). All we got was Sorry, that'll be $$$ for their stay. Manager was not there...hasn't been each time that I've asked to speak with her. Couldn't NOT RECOMMEND this facility more!

I cannot express the kindness and the attention the staff here demonstrates. I have 3 dogs, ask for their assistance without reservation.

Had a grooming appt. Called to confirm and was told the groomer wasn’t there any longer. The appt was the next day. No one bothered to contact me. Not a way to run a business.

Made an appointment for my dog over the phone for his “trial” to make sure he was a good fit. When I arrived I did not find anyone working there to be overly friendly or welcoming. I was told over the phone that my appointment was for 9 am today yet told when I arrived they don’t start until 9:30 - the person I spoke to on the phone also told me that they would be reaching out to my vet for the vaccine info and that was never done, so I had to scramble to get them records when I arrived. I am shocked this place has good ratings. I had a very bad first impression and will not be returning.
