Overall, my experiences here have been quite pleasant when bringing my cat in. The staff is very kind, and by my second visit the receptionist already recognized us and greeted my cat by name, which I really appreciated. There were only a couple of things that gave me pause. My cat’s bloodwork came back great and showed she was very healthy, which was reassuring. She needed an annual exam and bloodwork prior to being spayed. Initially, a urinalysis was planned, but her bladder was empty at that visit. After that, it was never completed, and I was told it wasn’t necessary since her bloodwork looked good. However, given that she is an older cat and this was her first experience with a veterinarian — something I made clear — I did feel that a more complete workup, including the urinalysis, w

I recently brought my cat, Leyla, to River Road Hospital in Niskayuna for the first time last week and again yesterday for her spaying, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and supportive. The guidance throughout the process was clear, and everyone took the time to make sure Leyla was comfortable and well cared for. It was obvious how much the team genuinely cares about the pets they treat. They handled everything with patience, compassion, and professionalism, which gave me great peace of mind. Just a great place for your pets care and well being. The staff is friendly, capable and willing. My poor cat had an emergency and the folks at River Road were there for him. Patched him up and he’s good as new. They’ve earned my business and respect. I recommend them without hesitation.

We are a brand new animal sanctuary just starting up. River Road Animal hospital has been amazing in helping us with our concerns and care. Dr. Goeldner recently saw 2 of our kitties exhibiting respiratory symptoms. She was caring, calm, answered all of our questions and put us immediately at ease. Nothing but love for River Road. We found a kitten in the middle of the road on a Saturday afternoon. His leg was paralyzed from, we speculate, getting thrown out of a moving car window. He also had pretty bad road rash. River Road was able to get us in immediately and assess him. Through River Roads guidance, our love, and lots of physical therapy, Bucatini has made an incredible recovery. He's always gonna be a little noodly and a lot clumsy, but with River Roads help we were able to save his leg. We are forever greatful. ❤️
