The woman who’s in charge of who gets what dog, Alison, didn’t show us the dogs we asked about in the phone conversation. At our appointment, she had the handlers show us two other dogs instead. She was in the room with us when we met the dogs. She didn’t turn around once from her computer, speak to us or answer us when addressed. Of the ones we were allowed to see, we chose a very sweet, small girl. Next we were told we needed paperwork for our cat’s rabies shot. No problem, sent that to them a day and half later after a new shot. Called and emailed next business day with no responses, so then we went back in person that same day. Alison told us that dog we had chosen (from the ones she decided would be good for us) was also not a good fit for us and that we should come back another time
Such a wonderful rescue. You can tell everyone who volunteers there really care about the animals there and want what is best for all the pets. We just adopted a puppy from their surprise litter and they were extremely detailed and informative about next steps for bringing her home and what to expect in the next few weeks plus. They also sent us home with a goodie bag of necessities to make sure we don't forget anything important. Thank you ROAR!
I called today asking if I can adopt a dog. The person asked me what dog I would like. I said can I see them all and find out which dog likes me? No that's know we do it was the response. Go to to the Web site and pick a dog or up to three you would like to see.i want the dog that wants me
Adopted a cat from ROAR recently (April 2024) The staff AND volunteers were fantastic. Everyone was so nice and helpful, always had time to answered the TON of questions I had… Thanks again!
I adopted a puppy from ROAR in July and the whole process was amazing. They truly care about their animals and want them to go to a safe home. From the initial visit, to the meet and greet with my other dog and the continued support after adoption. I can’t say enough good things. So so thankful for ROAR for bringing my sweet girl into my life.
