Richland Hills City Animal Services

I was driving to work this morning, and there were two dogs on the 820. Luckily when everyone stopped, they jumped into my car. The closest shelter was Richland Hills. They weren’t open, but so luckily someone came to the door. Lee came out, helped scan the two sweet girls, and called the owner. 15 minutes later, the dogs were back with their humans. I cannot thank Lee enough! Yes, they got into my car, but without his help, these two adventuresome dogs wouldn’t have made it home. Besides that, Lee was an absolute pleasure to speak with. I am truly grateful for what could have been an awful experience turning into a memorable commute. Thank you so much, Lee! You’re a class act!

If you are thinking about adopting a dog THIS IS THE PLACE. (If you are looking for a large breed they said that's mostly what they get in here and that's all I saw) What made this experience so unique was the staff! They were super helpful and patient with us which is awesome because i dont think you should rush into a decision like this and some places just want you to pick a dog and leave. They let us take any dog we were interested in out back to a private pen and left us alone to get acquainted with them properly which I really liked. And when we left they LOADED us up with toys, a dog bed, treats, dog food, and many more items to ensure our dog was taken care of before we left the facility. We fell instantly in love with our new dog! The staff is amazing and caring. They answered every question and let us take as much time as we needed getting to know our new family member. He was sent home with SO many nice new things 😁 I can't say enough kind words. Thank you so very much
