I've adopted two cats through this rescue over the last 6 years. Each adoption was seamless. I was especially impressed with how thorough their vetting process was. Each adoption coordinator was very familiar with each cat's personality and took as much time as I needed to feel comfortable this cat was the right fit for my family. When my son got his first home and wanted to adopt a cat I had no hesitation to recommend this rescue. He just brought home his best new kitty friend.

I can’t express the gratitude I have for her volunteers with Richardsons. During COVID they assisted me with some very sick kittens from some ferals in the neighborhood. From there it led to volunteering myself and fostering. The volunteers are compassionate, knowledgeable, and completely dedicated to giving each cat the love and medical attention they need. What really stands out is how well they match cats with adopters. They take the time to understand personalities and lifestyles to ensure every adoption is a perfect fit. It’s clear this isn’t just a rescue—it’s a place built on heart, commitment, and genuine love for animals. I’m so grateful for the work they do and highly recommend them to anyone looking to adopt or support an amazing cause.

We came to richardson's with an interest to adopt a kitten after our last cat passed away suddenly, but unfortunately we were informed that the kitten had multiple applications open. Then Katherine told us about Wanda, who had previously been adopted then returned. We still can't believe this tiny little ball of cuddles was returned, and we couldn't wait to take her home. She has transitioned beautifully, and fills our home with joy and laughs. Thank you so much for introducing us to Wanda! We are eternally grateful<333

Richardson’s has done so much to help me rescue many litters of kittens and they were able to place the feral mom’s and ALL the kittens for me and never asked for a PENNY! They helped me nurse sick kittens back to health, without me having to take them to a expensive vet visit…also helped me home some of the rescue kittens, that I had been convinced I was keeping until the kittens/very young cats, started peeing in my sinks! This is the very BEST rescue that I’ve found in Chesterfield area and they have NEVER turned me down when I reached out for any type of help with a rescue. There are several feral colonies near my work and we've had many cats give birth to lots of kittens. If those cats & kittens hadn't been trapped and fixed... I shutter to think how many we'd have now if it hadn't of been for Richardsons Rescue (and for the awesome lady who traps them)!!! Can't spend thousands at a vet and the local rescues are ALWAYS booked.
