In my search for a long-term local groomer, I found Reliable Grooming on Crossbay Boulevard. With 99 four-star reviews on Google, I was surprised by the lower score on Yelp. Reading the negative comments was disheartening. Having worked in a grooming shop, I understand the difference between valid criticism and pettiness, unrealistic expectations, or malice from competitors or unreasonable customers. Groomers are artists, not magicians. If you don't care for your dog properly, you can't expect miracles. For example, if my dog is matted and gets shaved, that's on me. If my dog bites and the groomer refuses service, that's not the groomer's fault.
