Update: Started taking Nicholas and it's been great. The customer service has been exceptional. All of the employees have a fur companions come first mindset. The employees do everything they can to make all transactions with customers as seamless, efficient, and quick. Great to see a business that has the "customer comes first" attitude. Our senior dog (Nikki) attended a couple times and was treated extremely well. They understood her limitations/likes and accommodated her. We could tell from her reaction at pick up time, happy and smiling. Unfortunately, Nikki has passed on, but we plan to start up with our new pup as soon as possible.

This place has been such a gift for my family's German Shepherd. It can be hard to travel wondering if your dog is going to be alright at boarding, and ours has disliked it other places, but the folks at Reisterstown have taken such good care of her that my family doesn't worry anymore. Our pup used to be skittish around other animals and people and it limited what she could do, but after several visits, she has really transformed in that way and it has been a quality of life improvement for her. Now she has friends! And always has her dietary needs taken care of (including some fairly complex ones for EPI), and comes back soft and smelling great. My cat was injured and ignored. My cat was injured staying here over the weekend. After I picked him up, I received a call stating "we found a note saying that blood in his enclosure and on his face was found". Apparently this wasn't a good enough reason to contact myself or my emergency contact, nor was it a good enough reason to use the vet allowance I signed off on. If your animal gets injured, you will not know about it until you pick them up. The cut on my cats face is deep and large enough to require antibiotics. If you leave your pet here, plan on additional vet charges to get them properly healed afterwards. When I called to try to figure out what happened, I was placed on hold and hung up on. Boarded my dogs here recently. I love the process of them coming to you while you sit in your car. You just call the # and they come pick up or drop off your pet. Our drop off was a little chaotic because there was a torrential downpour. The young lady had to run back and forth with forms for us to fill out ( although we had previously filled them online). Then to grab our food ( or they feed your dogs their selection at no additional cost). Then to grab our pets ( husky and a German Shepherd). She handled both dogs well. We'd ask for grooming but that got didn't get put on the file in all the chaos (a little disappointed). Everyone was kind, professional. Other than that, the whole process was smooth. I have always taken my dogs on vacation with me... however one of my rescues is a little too anxious and unpredictable. So after explaining Loki's issues they really allowed me to feel at peace with boarding him with them. They handled him perfectly... all women as that was an ask... and they showed no fear or anxiety... and he walked in and was greeted with a symphony of ladies voices so sweet and loving and welcoming. Gave me the sense that he was going to be OK.
