Quincy Animal Shelter

I’ve visited the Quincy Animal Center for two special events recently—the Quincy 400th Holiday Open House and the Valentine’s Special. I’ve uploaded some photos from the visits, including the adorable kissing booth! On both occasions, I was blown away by the staff and volunteers. They are incredibly knowledgeable and you can tell they are truly in love with every pet in the building. The atmosphere was so happy, with neighbors bringing in donations and so many animals getting adopted on the spot. If you are looking to foster or adopt a cat or dog, please check them out and support their mission. They are doing amazing work for the Quincy community!

The shelter is in a brand new building that co-houses Animal control and canine police patrol units. It is a gorgeous building and cats and dogs are getting great care there. Adopt, don't shop!

Absolutely amazing staff who love and care for all those amazing animals, I adopted Taffy and she is my everything! They are so nice and will help you every step of the way. They are a no kill shelter, and you know by how they are that they do the best thing for each animal and love them. Adopt here!

They graciously gave us a complete tour of the facility which was so impressive. Large clean well equipped including a surgical area.

9/27/2025, 3:10 pm... I just called this place and the women that answered the call seemed to not be in the mood to talk/work.... She refused to share how they do things, she just said they're expecting kittens in 2 weeks, call back..... Customer service isn't what it used to be, people don't believe in be professional at work.... This place might great, but the customer service sucks
