Poochi Pet Resort

I recently brought my Shih Tzus in for grooming and had a very upsetting experience. When I picked them up, I immediately noticed that their grooming was incomplete and uneven. Their hair was cut on the body but not on their faces, their paws were left with long hair, and overall the haircut looked unfinished. What made the situation worse was the explanation I was given. I was told that one of my Shih Tzus had to be “resuscitated,” and that another dog “couldn’t be taken out of the cage,” so they were unable to groom that one fully. Despite this, I was still charged full price ($186). They had also previously groomed all 3 of them. While I was there, I also observed the owner speaking very harshly to other dogs in her care, which made me extremely uncomfortable about leaving my pets there

I genuinely hate writing a bad review on a small business, but I feel like this place isn’t very transparent. We took our pound puppy for a day trial today to see if he is behaviorally fit for boarding for an upcoming trip. For reference, he’s a complete mixed breed. Roughly 1 year old. Sweetest dog ever with no signs of aggression at home. The visit started badly. I was put off some by being told I couldn’t come past the lobby to see my pets accommodations. 5 minutes later, I was told he’s been labeled a “fence fighter” and was handed his harness, collar and tags. That dog hasn’t been in a fight in his life. He was paraded past much bigger dogs after being in his home literally 5 minutes prior. With strangers. I literally counted the minutes to pick him back up. They turned down boarding

My pup has been going to Poochi for about a year now and he LoVeS it!!! I can just say the name and he gets all excited. To me that tells you everything you need to know.

We are brand new to the area and brought our Giant Schnauzer here for the first time. She went in looking like a bear cub and came out looking like a dog again! We also had our Goldendoodle groomed there. I had hand surgery and wasn't able to keep up on his high maintenance hair. They weren't judgemental (bc doodle parents have a stigma of not caring for their coats) and did a great job of not making him look like naked dog! Our Mini Schnauzer is scheduled for his first cut with them next week! The staff is super friendly and their prices are very reasonable. I definitely recommend them!

We've been using Poochie Pet Resort for years and have always been extremely pleased with how they care for our dog. On more than one occasion, employees have gone above and beyond expectations to make sure our dog and we were satisfied with their service. They also offer boarding, so you can be confident that your dog will be well cared for while you're away.
