This was our first experience adopting a dog from an animal shelter. PACC did a wonderful job. We were greeted warmly, met with our dog we identified on the web, and went thru the adoption process which was very organized. One suggestion, if selecting a pet from the website: The pet we were interested in was shown as being in a foster home. We emailed an "interest to adopt" form, and a reply told us we'd be contacted in a few days by the foster for meeting our pet. The next early morning I went to her web profile which was just updated to "in shelter". My wife and I hurried to PACC and were the first at the door. We were rewarded! I say this because another couple came in to adopt this same girl. I suspect if we did not get there first, we would have not been so lucky. Point is,

The only complaint I have with this place is it does not answer the phone or return calls. Other than that the staff is unreal. I picked up a dog and they gave me plenty of time to look at it and evaluate it I picked up Jayen. He is a very lovely and affectionate dog and his new name is Gunner. He is a super dog gets along great with every other dog that I met except for one little one. Is little dog was about 2 inches off the ground and barked at him and Gunner came running over to me. Afraid of the little thing. Otherwise I super dog really appreciate that I could adopt him. He loves his new home

Even though we live in Phoenix rather than Tucson, my wife and I have adopted 2 dogs from PACC over the last 3-4 years. Both are bully dogs that had challenging beginnings. PACC provided all the medical and surgical care they needed before providing them both foster care and loving support until we adopted them. Their staff and volunteers are so wonderful and dedicated to helping animals in need. We love PACC.

PACC is truly an amazing place to adopt an animal. The staff and volunteers clearly care about every single dog and cat that comes through their doors, and it shows in how clean, organized, and well-run the entire facility is. You can feel the difference the moment you walk in — it’s upbeat, welcoming, and full of people who genuinely want to help animals find the right homes. The adoption process was smooth, straightforward, and stress-free. The team took the time to answer questions, explain personalities and backgrounds, and make sure we found a perfect match. It’s obvious they aren’t just trying to push animals out the door — they’re focused on placing them in homes where they’ll be loved and successful. The animals are well cared for, socialized, and you can see how much effort the s

New to this area. This place did and preformed very unprofessional unnecessary things to my Dog. Without confirmation or my consent. I do not care what the laws say if my pet was brought here. My dog became sick after being here! I have due rights as a pet owner and should have been contacted prior to anything that Pima county assumed was necessary. BEWARE OF THE WAY THEY HANDLE PEOPLE'S MOST LOVED FAMILY MEMBERS HERE. 02-02-2026 Events and additional information that happened. This place stole personal property from my pet. Her powder blue 15$ collar with a yellow gem stone cross that was blessed and her favorite dog drying shammy 10$ personal bathing towel shown in the picture below. Did not subtract it from the BULLSHIT fee they charged me nor offer to locate HER items that PACC sup
