I’ve had two disappointing experiences at this location. The most recent was with grooming. My golden doodle was groomed by Sarah, and unfortunately, it was the worst haircut he’s ever had. We regularly groom him at home, so he’s used to the process and behaves well. However, this cut was uneven, shaved down in random spots, has bruises and cuts in multiple areas and his ears were not even cleaned. It felt like rushed, careless work. For contrast, his first grooming here was with Monday, who did a great job. The second issue was with the group beginner training class. I signed my dog up so he could learn and socialize with other dogs. Very friendly and helpful people working in the grooming department! I brought my dog in for a nail cut and buff. They're genuine and care about your animal, ask about any potential concerns or issues there might be, and make sure everyone has a good experience! I recently called the Petco in Hadley, MA, with a question about my new guinea pig, and I had the pleasure of speaking with Quinn. From the moment she answered, I could tell she genuinely cared about helping me. Quinn went above and beyond, providing not just answers but valuable education. I asked if I should get an exercise wheel for my guinea pig, and she kindly explained that guinea pigs are fragile and don’t need wheels, which could actually harm them. They just require outside cage time. (Which I’ve been doing a lot of). What stood out to me the most was her warmth and attentiveness. She took the time to make sure I fully understood and left the conversation feeling informed and cared for.
