PetSmart

Animals were well kept. We were interested in the ball python they had there. So we sked the some workers if our son (17) could hold it. They said yes and the young man worker jumped on it and said he would get it out for us for but we couldn't hold it. I explained to him we were interested in buying the snake and wanted to see the snakes temperament and if he would be able to handle the snake like he wanted. He allowed us to just touch the side while he held it against him. He would not allow us to even get close to it. So we went elsewhere and was able to actually handle the animal we wanted. We're not interested in buying something we don't even know how they handle or if they'll strike at any time. Other than that, they were nice, just an odd experience.

I informed staff ahead of time that my dog is older and anxious. During check-in, he gave a brief, low growl while being leashed,no snapping or lunging. The groomer immediately refused service without attempting any calming techniques or alternatives and suggested medication. While I understand safety policies, the reaction felt disproportionate and lacked professionalism or basic dog-handling skills. Owners of senior or anxious dogs may want to consider this before booking

Before versus after of my poor Romeo. Romeo is a soft coated wheaten terrier, he’s a curly boy. I try my best to groom him but I am no professional. I booked an appointment for 8 am this morning. I was turned down from service previous due to matting. I took my time over the course of two weeks to hand cut out mats and comb him. I immediately upon entering Jennifer felt Romeo for mats and stated that he had some on his legs and ears that needed to be trimmed I said okay I understand. I received a phone call thirty minutes later, I was told that he couldn’t be groomed due to the mats. I heard him barking in the background, I said okay. I have never written a bad review but this is not my first time using petsmart, I’ve taken my dogs to Petsmart for over ten years. This is the first time I have used this store and I don’t want anyone to trust their dog there! The grooming service is unacceptable. I should have walked out when I came in. First off, a lady asked a dog didn’t get a service the groomer then said “I didn’t know how to do it” and made up multiple excuses. If you can’t do that service, don’t try and get paid for it. I wasn’t even addressed for about ten minutes, no customer service and barely got to talk to my dogs groomer. Next, I was told it was be a while which is fine, I get a call not even 40 minutes later saying it was all done. Okay, I pick up my dog and I have never seen them like this. They were scared

The store great. The grooming department trash. Lost my favorite groomer due to rude grooming manager disagreement, supper unprofessional how the grooming department was set up..needless to say ill never recommend another pet smart to anyone EVER !
