Petco

There is absolutely no reason to be selling/purchasing red-eared sliders when there are hundreds upon hundreds of them being surrendered or mistakenly released to the wild because people cannot keep up with their care for as long as they live which should be 40+ years. Sadly these were all in the store yesterday on display with illness due to being shipped during in the winter. Please do your research before purchasing, and better yet adopt one that needs a new home. Petco was aware of their condition-I hope they are getting vet care.

Just want to say how amazing this petco is! I’ve been coming to this location for a very long time. I’ve bought so many supplies for animals my family and I have had but I’ve never purchased one there. I’ve had bad experiences before when buying birds from other places so I was hesitant to buy one from here. But let me just say what a huge difference it was at this location, the girl who took care of me was so amazing and gave me so much information about the bird I was buying and what to expect. I felt very assured and confident when buying my bird and it’s all thanks to the wonderful staff!!! I will always come back to shop here because it’s just so amazing. Thank you pet co!!! Came in for a quick visit just to help socialize our puppy. He picked out a new toy, and meet some new people. Store was clean, staff were friendly, everything was good.

I had the best experience with a dog trainer at the store. She is fantastic Laura Took her puppy training class and she was a joy to work with. Also came back to the store six months later and she still remembered my dog and he still loved her great employee.

Don’t get me wrong, the inside of this petco is beautiful. There’s beautiful animals and the selection is great especially with the prices! But i cannot find it in my heart to give this location more than one star due to what I saw when I went in today around 3pm. There were cages lined up with cats who were all shaking, in the corners of the cages, lying in their litter box, all just for show to be adopted. I guess I can understand the cats being scared being in a new unfamiliar area, but what made my heart shatter and make my blood boil was seeing how these ladies handled the cats. She had a carrier on the floor with the door facing up, and she grabbed the adult cat by the neck and shoved it in the carrier with absolutely no compassion at all. She then grabbed another adult cat and shove
