We have been loyal Petco grooming customers for eight years with our Shih Tzu–Bichon and have never been disappointed until now or experienced behavioral issues during grooming. Due to scheduling we could not get in with our regular store as soon as we needed so we booked at this location. This was the second time at this location as they had more bookings. We received a call mid-groom stating that our dog had “attempted to bite” the groomer while on the table. When I arrived, I asked the manager for a detailed explanation and a written incident report, but neither was provided. The manager simply stated that our dog attempted to bite the groomer and that she was now permanently banned from all Petco locations and refused to offer any information. I asked if she could return to her regula

When I took my baby in. I showed them a picture of what she looked before and that I wanted that specific haircut. She told me she would shave a little off the top. There is no reason why I should have paid for this haircut I am beyond upset that I could cry. She was unrecognizable, I almost didn’t think she was mine. I’m so hurt that they could cut her hair so horrible. I will never go there again or even shop there I am so horrified for what they did to my baby. One before and how she looks after are the pictures posted below. I hope that woman is fired. It just feels like it was intentional because she did the exact opposite of what I wanted. If it was so much trouble she should have called me and just not do what she did to my poor baby. No pet parent should have to go through this. T

This review is regarding the pet grooming salon. I have been going to the groomers at Petco 6th Ave for over three years. Taryn does a fabulous job grooming my skittsh shihtzu. Thank you to all dog groomers for doing this very taxing job and helping to keep our pets healthy!!

I just left the store empty handed. The attitude and frankly, sheer lack of customer service displayed by the staff, and specifically, the manager, was not good. The manager seemed visibly annoyed when I asked her, an employee, for help while she was standing in an aisle. She stated that there were only 2 of them, in a very annoyed voice, and that I was just going to have to wait. Any interaction produced an annoyed look and tone, and although I was prepared to make a purchase, left without doing it. Perhaps customer service is not the right profession for these girls.

I spoke with a woman named Danielle over the phone today and I needed help getting information on a upcoming appointment with Vetco which she so graciously helped me with to the best of her abilities, all while attending to a customer. That type of service is hard to come by and was much appreciated.
