Last minute mini make rover for our 9 year old rescue border collie mix. She has always been very skittish but sweet when being groomed. Andrew was so sweet to her and trimmed out her paws to help her walk easier on tile/hardwood floors. Very quick and efficient!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Kammy, the groomer at Petco in Port Charlotte, Florida. She is incredibly skilled, compassionate, and truly devoted to the animals she cares for. My German Shepherd, Samuel Michael, has ongoing skin and allergy issues, and under Kammy’s gentle, knowledgeable care—while following veterinary guidance—his condition has shown real improvement. Kammy treats every pet as if they were her own. We recently relocated to the area, and finding her has been such a blessing. We will absolutely continue trusting her with Samuel’s care. Thank you, Petco, for having such a remarkable groomer on your team!

I went to buy dog food and was pleased to find the brand and style I wanted. The store was clean and well stocked. I was however disappointed that some new items on display in the front of the store were without prices. The girl at the checkout said the only way she could know the prices was to scan each. She also was doing a job of unpacking betta fish as well as running the register so she seemed uninterested in helping. There was also a display in the front of the store that had coupons stating 25% off a can of Nulu with any purchase. The coupon didn't scan at the register for some reason. The girl tried several things but it would not work. She even got a supervisor over to assist. It still didn't work. I asked why they had the coupons out if they would not work. Was visiting family in the area and decided to treat pup to a quick in-between grooming nail & hair trim. We walked in (no appointment needed for several services), were assisted immediately and the entire visit was fantastic start to finish. We worked with Kylee in the grooming area and she made the extra effort to help ease my girl when we arrived, and the grooming was fast and trimmed to perfection. We have visited this Petco on prior visits and this is by far our favorite pet store - every staff member we have encountered has been warm and helpful. If in need of a groom when visiting, or if you are looking for a new local groomer, we highly recommend!

The store is clean, well-organized, and they carry everything from food and treats to toys, grooming supplies, and accessories. You can tell the employees actually like animals — they always take time to talk, answer questions, and give good advice. The grooming staff does a great job. They’re gentle, professional, and they don’t rush the pets. Prices are fair and the results are worth it. The animals in the adoption section are also well cared for, and the cages are clean. Every visit has been easy, friendly, and hassle-free. If you want a pet store that treats you and your animals right, Petco in Port Charlotte is an excellent choice.
