Petco Grooming

I booked online for standard wash and hair cut. When I got there I was told they have to charge an additional service charge to my bill because they have to charge all the customers and add on. When I refuse for any additional on they refused to take my dog. I asked to speak to the manager Catherine and she agreed on not charging me the additional service charge but when I went back to pick up my dog the put again on the bill because they said all customer must pay an add on, no one gets the standard hair Cut only. It’s company policy. So be aware they will stick you with additional charges.

I’m honestly so disappointed with Petco’s grooming services. The pricing feels completely misleading. They advertise a full groom for $64, but once you arrive, the extra fees start immediately. They charged a $5 “supplies” fee which is ridiculous, because why wouldn’t basic supplies already be included in a full groom? Then they added a $15 fee just because scissors were used. How is using scissors not part of grooming? A full groom should include trimming the face and cutting the coat where needed. When I questioned it, the employee said they were already planning to charge extra to brush my dog, but instead they would “not charge me for that” and just keep the extra $15 scissor fee. Excellent service. My dog won’t let me touch her paws but somehow Petco easily clipped her nails and she was totally fine. Thank you!!

I just had a terrible experience that I want to share. It’s a second time I bring my dog here, and previous time everything was great. Now beautiful lady Maria who was a groomer today give me back my puppy with knots that she didn’t even try to brush. When I said I need it to be brushed she stated to say that she will charge me 50!!! Dollars for that, 2-3 knots as she need 4 hours, when I says that’s too much, she said ok, I’ll do that , but you have to tip me! After I called a manger he wasn’t even looking at me, saying she trust her and saying that she never asked for tips! And basically that I’m lying! Amazing service that you should never use!

I normally try to use a small business for these types of services. But the prices I saw were outrageous. The groomer was kind and loving to Gemma, price was reasonable, and I loved that there was a window to observe the grooming. She came out happy, clipped and clean (NO SPRAY)! I will return!
