Katie is such a great groomer! I brought my two dogs in to be bathed, have their nails clipped and buffed and have their teeth brush. She was so nice and my dogs were so comfortable with her! She did an awesome job! We will definitely be back soon! Thank you, Katie!

came in the store 20 minutes before they closed. picked out some fish and plants we wanted. asked for help grabbing them as they were actively catching fish for another customer while we were standing there. the girl named alicia said that they were closing in about 5 minutes and they couldn’t get them. plants take 30 seconds and the fish were the remaining of a single tank. i work at a different pet store and know that 1, this would take way less than 5 minutes, 2, that’s not how you perform customer service, and 3, if the store is still open, you can still shop. honestly extremely disappointed with this service. i drove down from canaan (1h 45m) to look at a different variety of fish, knowing i would cut it close but still have what should have been more than enough time. apparently not

I am n ever shopping there going forward. I spend a great deal of money at this location as I have 3 large dogs. I went in last month, used my telephone number for my Petco account, and bought some Purina Pro Plan canned food for our new rescue. Tried a few cans but he doesn't like it so I went back today to return the unopened cans with the intention of selecting something else. The manager (wearing a sling) was at the register and said she couldn't find my purchase in the records on my account. Lots of other things, but she couldn't locate this one. I said that's okay how can we handle this.... and she said there's nothing she could do !!!! so I would have to keep the canned food and she would not allow me to even exchange it for another flavor !!! Great place for most pet needs, even some things for exotic animals. Store is clean and all of the enclosures look well maintained and stocked with healthy animals. With Covid however, they do have limited stock for adoptable pets and would advise calling ahead if you are looking for something specific. They also have exotic pets that aren't always advertised online sometimes. They offer many "cookie treats" that you can buy from a salad-bar styled counter as well. Petco has always been the "small zoo" that is fun to walk through and see the animals while buying pet supplies. One major complaint is their Betta fish. They have what looks like 50+ small cups with them in there and tons that are near death. They need 5gal tanks and cannot thrive in these "efficient" cups. The "2$ adopt" baby

Petco as a company does not actually care about the well-being of the animals. They are about the bottom line, even to the point of keeping their employees late during a snow storm when the place is dead. The individual expertise of the employees regarding different "in-store" departments varies wildly and this is a detriment to animal safety as well. Some type of mandatory minimum education about the needs of the variety of species represented should be put in place.
