This used to be my favorite pet store. I adopted my cat from here and the staff were always so friendly and helpful. But the past few years things have gone downhill. Lately staff is too busy working on projects to ring people up. I typically have to wait for someone to see me at the checkout. Usually I only wait a minute or 2, but today I waited over 5 minutes. I only saw customers shopping near the checkout, no staff. I tried to call the store but got disconnected. I ended up walking over to the vet and asking if there was anyone ringing up customers. She paged overhead and all the sudden employees came out of the woodwork. The guy that rang me up was friendly, and said everyone was working truck. I work retail too, so I get it. But maybe install self checkouts so then the staff does

I visited your store today and was extremely disappointed. I was standing in line, waiting patiently, when the cashier with red hair ignored me and served someone who skipped the line. I was dressed casually with no makeup, and it was clear I was judged by my appearance. When I asked the cashier who checked me out, Kevin, if people are allowed to skip the line, he said, “Yes, it depends.” That response was unacceptable and unprofessional. As a hotel manager, I was shocked by the disrespect, the lack of customer service, and the discriminatory behavior I experienced. I will not be returning. I expect a follow-up from a higher-level manager—if customer care matters at all in this store.

My maltipoo has been groomed by Justine at Petco Eagan for a number of years. Justine is incredibly skilled, a great communicator, very knowledgeable, and kind — My often-skittish dog is comfortable with her, which makes me comfortable. Dozens of groomings in, I could not be happier. I feel so fortunate to have found service of this caliber at a Petco. Justine exceeds prior groomers at more “boutique” grooming-only businesses I’ve tried, and I’m glad to keep coming to Petco because of her. Highly recommend.

I really enjoy shopping at Petco. The staff is really helpful, and knowledgeable. My only complaint is that there is so much stuff in the aisles that it is hard to maneuver around with a cart which I need. Brie was really fun to talk too, and she helped me find what I needed.
